BAUER
Bauer OEM steel is the exact same steel that came in your Bauer skates the day you purchased them. They feature Bauer’s proprietary hardened steel designed for both performance and edge retention. At Binnie’s we have a full line of Bauer replacement steel ranging from the double bolt TUUK Custom Plus, single bold Lightspeed and Lightspeed 2, to the revolutionary Lightspeed Edge with trigger release. CCM
Much like Bauer, the CCM steel is an exact match to the steel that came in your skates from day one. The steel is light weight and durable without sacrificing performance. Whether you’re in the latest CCM skates or an older pair of CCM or Reebok (RBK) skates, we have CCM factory steel to keep you on the ice.
STEP
The current leader in replacement steel, Step has perfected the hardening process of steel so it is lightweight, durable, and holds an edge longer. Step steel is available in standard stainless, super polished V-Steel for enhanced performance, and Black Steel for increased edge retention. We carry Step for all models of CCM/Reebok/RBK, True, the hard-to-find Bauer, and goalie skates.
BLADETECH
Bladetech skates is changing how you skate by changing your blade. Their patented technology known as Force Flex Advantage allows the blade to flex upward into your holder, reducing kinetic friction through stored vertical energy. This innovation can result in increased acceleration and help you skate up to 5% faster. Bladetech replacement steel is available in stainless steel or black steel for Bauer Lightspeed 2 and Lightspeed Edge holders, all CCM Speedblade holders, and the CCM XSG goalie holder.
BYONIC
SUPER LITE, SUPER STRONG, SUPER FAST, SUPER FINISH. The patented XLITE ® profile design is up to 40% lighter than OEM and other aftermarket blades. A lighter blade translates to faster acceleration on takeoff and through turns, more sustain speed, and fatigue reduction. Byonic blades are not only light, they’re strong and durable. Made from high strength stainless steel and featuring a non-mechanical satin finish, it provides a durable edge for longer play. Available for Bauer Lightspeed Edge, Bauer Vertexx Edge, and CCM Speedblade holders.
FLARE SKATES
With over a decade of research and development, Flare Skate Blade are transforming the hockey world and now you can own them for yourself. These unique skate blades feature a tapered, precision crafted Swedish steel, tested and proven by hockey players at all abilities. By creating a 6 degree flare, widening the base of the skate, friction was reduced by 20.6% over traditional blade. This improved speed, acceleration, and turning by an average of 5.6% over traditional steel. Flare Skate blades are available for Bauer Lightspeed 2, Bauer Lightspeed Edge, and all CCM Speedblade holders.
